Open now! Registrations for 2024 Right To Energy Forum

How can we keep the momentum going and ramp up action on energy poverty whilst creating energy solutions in line with social and climate justice at the same time? Attend the Right to Energy Forum from 2-4 December 2024 and help to drive meaningful change to ensure people across Europe have access to clean, safe and affordable energy.

The Forum programme will consist of three mornings packed with talks and discussions on making energy poverty an issue of the past. What to expect:

Day one | 2 December | Atelier29

Morning + lunch

The Forum will kick off with a deep dive into the implementation of the Fit for 55 package across the EU. Expect answers to critical questions about energy, climate, social justice and most importantly, what it all means for people faced with energy poverty.

Afternoon | Atelier29

Satellite event

Join WELLBASED for an insightful policy event that explores the critical intersection of energy poverty and public health. You can already register for this event directly on the WELLBASED website.

Day two | 3 Dec | Atelier29

Morning + lunch

The Forum will zoom in on the opportunities of shaping the EU’s strategy on eradicating energy poverty. Expect policy insights, political discussions and talks with decision makers about topics including energy and housing.

Day three | 4 Dec | Atelier29

Morning + lunch

The last day of the Forum will focus on realising our common vision for the universal right to clean energy. Expect talking about summer energy poverty and how the EU is hindering the right to clean energy in the Global South.

Afternoon | European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)

Satellite event

Join us at the EESC for an event that centres around Friends of the Earth Europe’s Powerful Encounters photo exhibition on energy poverty. Expect to walk away inspired by a range of first-hand stories of activism, collectivism and empowerment. While the main European institutions are still defining their priorities for the new term, it’s crucial to ensure that energy poverty remains a top priority.

We hope you will join us in shaping the next steps to secure the Right to Energy. The full programme will be revealed in November. In the meantime, please register your interest and share this tweet with all of your network!
